National Certificate in Forestry (Generic Skills - Workplace Safety and Operations) (Level 2)
Health and safety knowledge is covered so that students meet the regulatory compliance requirements for the forestry industry. This means that graduates can enter into a wide range of occupations and functional areas within the Forestry sector such as planting, weeding, pest control, pruning, thinning, spraying and chainsaw use. It also prepares students for further training in the forestry industry related to the planning, establishment and harvesting of forests.
Outcome:
This qualification recognises the attainment of health and safety skills and knowledge relevant to the Forestry industry, as well as other entry level skills and knowledge which are necessary for Forestry workers. Students graduate with the National Certificate in Forestry (Generic Skills - Workplace Safety and Operations) (Level 2).
